Breast Care Center

At the Breast Care Center, breast health specialists offer education, screening and diagnostic mammograms, and procedures such as needle localization, stereotactic breast biopsy and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy.

If you are diagnosed with breast cancer, our breast care coordinator will help guide you through the appointments you need to make and doctors you need to see. All screenings and diagnostic procedures take place in our spa-like environment, where we provide coffee, water and light snacks, TV and comfortable gowns or robes.

Screening and Diagnostic Digital Mammograms

Community Memorial Hospital offers both screening and diagnostic mammograms, both of which are digital. Digital mammograms offer more clear and crisp images than traditional mammograms, which means they can potentially locate smaller indications of cancer earlier. The earlier a cancer is detected, the better a patient’s chance of being completely cured.

The American Cancer Society recommends a woman begin receiving mammograms at age 40 and continue them annually as long as she is in good health.

To schedule your digital mammogram at the Women’s Health Center, call Centralized Scheduling at 414-777-1900.

Breast Care Coordinator

An important part of your experience at the Breast Care Center is the staff who treat you. In addition to the expertise of board-certified physicians from Medical College of Wisconsin, a breast care coordinator is also provided by the Breast Care Center to help you connect with the appropriate cancer physicians.
