Why did you choose to pursue a residency?

I decided to pursue a residency for the opportunity to grow as a more knowledgeable and well-rounded clinician in an academic environment. I believe this year will provide me with the challenge and rigor that I would have had a hard time finding if I entered the workforce.

What attracted you to the Froedtert & MCW pharmacy residency program?

My first APPE rotation in pharmacy school was in Froedtert Hospital’s cardiovascular intensive care unit. The level of involvement that the pharmacist had with the medical team was impressive, second only to how much preceptors cared about their student’s growth. This combination scope of practice/involvement and outstanding mentors made me certain I wanted to spend more time at Froedtert Hospital.

Favorite thing to do in Milwaukee

Going for a run along the river trail — I find it pretty unique to be running through a secluded, wooded footpath while you’re in the middle of the city.
