Why did you choose to pursue a residency?

I chose to pursue a residency to further my education and establish a stronger clinical foundation. This will help me to provide exceptional care to patients in all clinical areas. I am a curious person and constantly striving to advance my knowledge, so being immersed in a learning environment seemed like a perfect fit to launch a career of life-long learning.

What attracted you to the Froedtert & MCW pharmacy residency program?

Froedtert initially attracted me because of its excellent reputation as a large academic medical center with national recognition as a place to learn. However, what excited me the most was that the pharmacists and residents seemed to be genuinely happy and excited about their jobs. When I interviewed, I could sense that this was a place that I would like to be, with people I would enjoy working with. Additionally, the pharmacist scope of practice is extremely progressive and I wanted to be able to fully apply all of the great knowledge that I had spent so many years learning. I stayed on for a PGY2 for the same reasons — the program is excellent and the preceptors are second to none.
