PGY1 Residency Project
Validation and Expansion of Home IV Administration of Continuous Infusion, Multiday Chemotherapy Regimens
My project is analyzing safety, patient satisfaction, and financial impact of expanding our current process of home chemotherapy infusion for patients who are otherwise stable but would require a lengthy inpatient stay to receive their chemotherapy.
Why did you choose to pursue a residency?
I have been interested in clinical pharmacy throughout school, having worked in hospitals as a technician and intern for about 7 years. A residency is the best way to advance my clinical knowledge and practice skills in a challenging environment.
What attracted you to Froedtert’s pharmacy residency program?
Froedtert has a large variety of clinical opportunities for residents to experience. There is a large list of elective rotations for every area of interest. I also liked the idea of being part of a larger residency class. Finally, at the hopes of pursuing a PGY2 in oncology, Froedtert provides additional opportunities in this field.
I have an interest in oncology and hope to complete a PGY2 in this field next year.

What's your favorite thing to do in Milwaukee?
Growing up here, one of my favorite things to do is go to Brewer games. I also love to attend all the fests and festivals, explore downtown, try new restaurants, and enjoy the Lakefront.
