Froedtert & Medical College Will Continue to Follow ACS Mammography GuidelinesDespite a task force recommendation for changes, Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin will continue to follow the American Cancer Society’s guidelines for breast cancer screening mammography.
Trauma Center Annual ReportFroedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin provide the only adult Level I Trauma Center in eastern Wisconsin, with the immediate availability of specialized physicians, support staff and equipment to treat patients with life-threatening injuries. In 2008, more than 3,300 people received care in our Trauma Center. Read more in our Trauma Center Annual Report.
Toys for TotsIf you are out shopping for the holidays, please consider getting an extra gift. Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin, in cooperation with the U.S. Marine Corps' Toys for Tots program, will conduct a Toys for Tots drive from Nov. 16 through Dec. 11 at the Springdale Health Center in Brookfield.
2009 Flu InformationFroedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin want to provide the best and safest care for our patients, staff and hospital visitors. If you suspect you may have the flu, please don’t visit others in the hospital. Stay home and call your primary care physician. Do not come to the hospital or to the emergency department unless you believe you have an emergency. If you have flu symptoms but do not have a primary care physician, contact an urgent care or walk-in clinic. If you don’t have a physician and would like help in finding one, please visit our Primary Care section or call 414-805-3666 or 800-272-3666.

Seasonal Flu Seasonal flu vaccine is currently available to Froedtert & The Medical College patients. Please call your clinic for an appointment. Our main hospital switchboard can connect you to your clinic. Call 414-805-3000.
2009 H1N1 Flu A limited amount of H1N1 flu vaccine is now available to Froedtert & The Medical College patients who are in the high-risk groups defined by the CDC:
- Pregnant women
- People who live with or care for children age 6 months or younger
- People ages 6 months through 24 years
- People ages 25 through 64 years who have health conditions associated with higher risk of medical complications from influenza.
