Healing PlazaPlans have begun for the new Mortenson Construction Healing Plaza at Froedtert Hospital, located just outside of the hospital's new Clinical Cancer Center. The Healing Plaza will provide a unique environment of beauty, silence and remembrance. To honor a doctor or nurse or memorialize a loved one, donors may display a inscription of their choice on a paver, walkway tile, tree or bench. For giving options and more information, see our brochure.
Froedtert TodayThe January 2010 issue of Froedtert Today features articles about a minimally invasive technique that may prevent need for total hip replacement; the health benefits of weight loss surgery; information on the latest clinical trials; and a new, mechanical staff member in the Froedtert pharmacy.
Seasonal Flu, H1N1 Flu InformationFroedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin want to provide the best and safest care for our patients, staff and hospital visitors. If you suspect you may have the flu, please don’t visit others in the hospital. Stay home and call your primary care physician. Do not come to the hospital or to the emergency department unless you believe you have an emergency. If you have flu symptoms but do not have a primary care physician, contact an urgent care or walk-in clinic. If you don’t have a physician and would like help in finding one, please visit our Primary Care section or call 414-805-3666 or 800-272-3666.
Many community health departments are administering flu vaccine. To find out if flu clinics are being held in your area, please visit the 2-1-1 Wisconsin Flu Clinic Locator.
