FORME Aesthetic and Vein Center staff perform cosmetic laser procedures for a range of skin concerns on the face and on other parts of the body, including:

  • Rosacea
  • Brown spots (age spots)
  • Wrinkles
  • Sun damage

  • Uneven skin tone and texture (rough skin)
  • Port-wine stains
  • Scars
  • Broken blood vessels
  • Spider veins

Our staff has several types of laser treatments at their disposal to treat your specific condition. As a whole, laser treatments work by using a focused beam of light to target blood vessels, pigment particles and the collagen layer of the dermis — the middle layer of your skin. The beam of light heats the target and vaporizes the vessel or pigment. In the collagen layer, it heats water molecules — stimulating the skin's own repair mechanism and new collagen production.

What to Expect During Laser Skin Treatments

Your experience will vary based on the size of the area we are treating and the severity of the condition.

For small areas of redness or pigment, you may only need one treatment or a short series of treatments. Our staff may offer you a numbing cream, but you may not need it. You may not feel the treatment, or it may feel like a pinch. More intense treatments could be painful, so numbing cream is advised. Afterward, your skin may be pink or puffy or have a small scab that flakes off after a week.

Larger treatment areas and skin resurfacing use more powerful lasers. Non-ablative skin resurfacing does not remove any layers of skin. Our staff will help you decide if you need numbing cream, and you may experience dry, flaky skin that reveals smoother, brighter skin after it is shed. Ablative skin resurfacing is for deeper, more prominent conditions. It removes a layer of skin and requires numbing cream or other pain relief. You may need to take some time off as your skin will need time to heal.

Laser Skin Treatment Risks

Our staff will go over any potential risks with you when you map out your course of treatment. Most treatments result in some red or flaky skin. Some treatments may cause skin lightening or darkening, depending on your skin tone. In some cases, a treatment can trigger acne or an eczema flare-up. Ablative treatments carry a risk of bacterial infections or herpes outbreaks (if you are susceptible).

It is important to review any history of skin conditions and your entire medical history with our staff to minimize these risks.

Laser Skin Treatment Options

Depending on your desired outcome, our staff will recommend one of the following laser therapies.

Halo Hybrid Fractional Laser

The Halo hybrid fractional laser uses a combination of wavelengths to repair the visible signs of aging, sun damage, discoloration, enlarged pores and uneven skin tone. Halo combines the benefits of deep-level rejuvenation of the skin with surface renewal to treat multiple skin conditions in a single session. You will notice immediate improvement in your skin’s appearance after being treated with Halo. Most patients are able to resume their daily schedule with minimal recovery time.

MicroLaser Peel

The MicroLaser Peel is an intra-epidermal laser peel that precisely removes the outermost layers of skin. Skin conditions such as wrinkles, scars, acne scars, laxity, keratosis and pigmentary problems can be treated with the MicroLaser Peel at various levels. You will experience smoother, healthier and more vibrant skin with an immediate change in the skin texture and tightness.

ProFractional Laser Therapy

ProFractional laser therapy achieves excellent resurfacing results with minimal downtime. ProFractional creates narrow-diameter channels in the skin, covering a fraction of the total treatment area. This action initiates the body’s wound healing response while leaving the surrounding tissue intact for rapid healing. The benefits of ProFractional include increased patient comfort, shorter healing times and results that can range from subtle to dramatic.

Vein and Vascular Therapy

Benign and undesirable vessels, veins, rosacea and lesions of the face and body are treated to reveal clear attractive skin with our Syneron Candela Vbeam Perfecta pulsed-dye laser, Sciton ClearScan Vascular Laser and Sciton Broadband Light technologies.
