This eight-camera, digital, real-time system enables the sports medicine team to analyze a golfer’s swing, a pitcher’s delivery, a soccer player’s kick or a ballerina’s twirl.
The athlete is fitted with multiple sensors on various points of the body. The digital cameras then capture the athlete’s motion — kicking a ball, swinging a bat or hitting a golf ball. The digital image of the athlete is then used to analyze certain motions to determine how they may be changed to improve performance and lessen the potential for injury.
The motion analysis system is utilized by our physical therapists, athletic trainers and biomedical engineers and is a key component to our throwing athlete and golf swing programs.
