Our focus on academics at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Stroke & Neurovascular Program gives our patients advantages not found elsewhere. Our physicians lead research and clinical trials which allow them to bring the latest treatment techniques to patients as soon as possible.

Caregivers all over the world learn from our physician experts who have presented to international audiences and published hundreds of textbook chapters and scholarly articles. They host onsite training and serve as leaders in national societies that advance the care of patients with neurovascular disease.

Clinical Research

Many Medical College of Wisconsin patients choose to participate in clinical trials, also called medical research and research studies. These efforts help establish the safety and effectiveness of new drugs, medical devices or therapies and explore new ways of using current treatments. Each trial is designed to answer specific questions and to find better ways to treat people who have suffered a stroke.

Many of our studies are only offered through our organization. View a listing of current stroke clinical trials.
