Cancer knows no boundaries. Just ask those who must deal with the disease:
An animal lover, a writer, a teacher, a singer, a motivational speaker, a woman who sacrificed a promising career, a man whose faith helped him regain his health, a cancer physician and a researcher.
They and others will be telling their stories of hope and determination through words and video in a new blog, Together, We Are Strong, created by the Froedtert & MCW cancer team. In this web portal, you will find timely, personal advice and comments from those whose lives have been forever changed by cancer.
You will be able to comment and enrich their messages with your own personal thoughts and insights. Some experiences will remind you of how cancer has affected you, how it challenged you and what you learned about yourself and those around you. You may choose to simply read the blog, or perhaps you will contribute with comments or even join our team as a blogger. Your participation and perspective could encourage others.
We’ll be asking our team of bloggers in the Milwaukee area and beyond to share thoughts on their disease and treatment process or how they’re helping friends and family members Physicians who deal directly with various types of cancers will also add their insights to the discussions.
