The Legacy of Breast Cancer - Part I

Breast cancer is a particular concern among African American women, who face a significantly higher risk of dying from the disease compared with women in other ethnic groups. In this video, African-American women along with health care providers from Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin share their experiences with breast cancer and talk about the importance of early detection. The video is the work of a community-based research team. Members represent a partnership between Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee community, with deep appreciation for support from the Elder Community Health Upholders. Funded by the American Cancer Society and the Froedtert Hospital Foundation. Special thanks to the courageous women who shared their stories in this video.
