Kelley Fox

Diagnosis: Pancreatic Cancer

Kelley Fox was born in Kenosha, Wis., and currently resides just slightly west, in Bristol. Shortly after marriage, she and her husband lived in east Texas and mid-state Illinois, returning to Wisconsin in 1991.

Kelley had a desire to be an attorney, but early marriage and a family pointed her in a different direction. She has worked many jobs over the years, but she achieved the next best thing to becoming an attorney, working as a paralegal for over 20 years. She currently works for a boutique law office in Lake Forest, Ill. "If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life," she says.

Kelley enjoys spending time with her husband, Marty, doing work around their large property. They have two grown children, Matthew and Sarah, as well as a wonderful daughter-in-law, Angela, and the most precious gifts — grandchildren, Nolan and Nadia. Family is important to Kelley and the entire family is together for dinner on Sundays.

Kelley was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in May 2012. She underwent surgery at Froedtert with chemo and radiation treatment in Kenosha. She is currently in remission and continues to see her doctors every six months for check-ups.

Having survived a cancer that typically has only a 6% five-year survival rate is what motivates Kelley to bring awareness and support to other cancer survivors. "God has given me the gift of life and I must use this gift to help others," she says.
