We recommend this Asian pork tenderloin recipe for the post-bariatric surgery diet, but anyone looking to make healthy eating choices can enjoy the recipe. The simple-to-make Asian-inspired marinade with soy sauce, ginger and rice vinegar is the key to its unique flavor. Add a non-starchy vegetable on the side (like roasted brussel sprouts, pictured below) and you have a balanced meal that is low in sugar and carbohydrates and high in protein.

RECOMMENDATION
Some patients have difficulty tolerating dense meats like beef and pork after surgery.  You may tolerate these meats when they are cooked slowly and in a moist cooking source like a slow cooker. You can serve this pork with a side of cooked vegetables. Try cooked cabbage with Asian seasonings.
