In addition to providing state-of-the-art disease treatment, the Benign Hematology Program provides a variety of complementary strategies to address changes associated with diagnosis and treatment. Support resources offered vary by location; however, patients being treated at any Froedtert & MCW clinic or hospital campus may take advantage of services at our different locations.

While your condition is not cancer, you may benefit from the services provided through our cancer patient support. Programs address your emotional, physical, spiritual and financial well-being.

Benign Hematology Patient Education

As vital members of the care team, patients need to know what to expect and how to be an active participant in their care.

From the initial consultation to all follow-up appointments related to your disease, being educated reduces anxiety and provides a sense of control and hope. The Benign Hematology Program gives patients and their families a variety of educational options tailored to individual learning styles. Educational opportunities are delivered through one-on-one teaching by coordinators, physicians, financial liaisons, social workers, pharmacists and nursing staff, as well as through written educational information.
