We believe that talent is everywhere — and opportunity should be too. Our workforce development programs are designed to increase awareness, build skills and connect people to meaningful careers in health care.

How we support career awareness, exploration and readiness:

  • Career Awareness and Exploration: Through strong partnerships with Wisconsin’s schools and the Center for Healthcare Careers, Froedtert ThedaCare fosters career awareness and exploration by engaging students in hands-on experiences like classroom visits, career fairs and interactive learning opportunities that illuminate pathways into health care. If you're interested in having a Froedtert ThedaCare representative attend your upcoming career exploration event, please submit a Community Request Form at least 60 days in advance.
  • Internships: Real-world experience for high school and college students to gain insight into health care environments and build valuable connections.
  • Apprenticeships: Earn while you learn. Our structured programs combine classroom instruction with on-the-job training in high-demand roles.
  • Training Programs: Skill-building initiatives that prepare individuals for entry-level and advanced positions, including clinical and non-clinical tracks.
  • Externships: The opportunity to gain real-world clinical experience while still in school, serving as a vital bridge between classroom learning and professional practice in a supervised health care environment.
  • Community Partnerships: Collaborations with schools, nonprofits and workforce organizations to expand access, provide support services and foster equity in career development.
