Froedtert Health’s pipeline development programs help showcase the variety of experiences available within the health care profession to underrepresented students.
Diversity Clerkship Program
Through the Diversity Clerkship Program, first-year law students of diverse backgrounds at Marquette University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, have an opportunity to develop their legal skills and knowledge during summer clerkships. The program, an initiative of the State Bar of Wisconsin, overseen by the bar’s Diversity Inclusion and Oversight Committee, promotes diversity in the legal profession. Our legal department is proud to play a role in supporting diversity in the Froedtert & MCW health network and the region.
Carmen High School Internship
As part of Froedtert's relationship with the Milwaukee Bucks, we have agreed to partner with Carmen High School by providing input and internships/apprenticeships/careers for some of the students (10th through12th grades) who are a part of Carmen's three education tracks: Health Care Customer Service, IT and Certified Nursing Assistant.
Earn and LEARN Internship
A partnership between Employ Milwaukee and Froedtert Health to support the National Academy Foundation (NAF) focused schools to provide internship opportunities to high school students in an effort to engage them in health care careers as well as possible employment.
Cristo Rey Internship
Partnership between Froedtert Health and Cristo Rey to host high school students in different departments across the system to provide them with on the job experience in efforts to hire the students into roles within the organization and/or engage them in health care careers.
The mission of INROADS is to develop and place talented underserved youth in business and industry and prepare them for corporate and community leadership. As a strategic partner for hundreds of Fortune 500 corporations INROADS provides Intern “fit,” talent to meet your professional and diversity workforce needs.

For over four decades, INROADS has helped businesses gain greater access to diverse talent through continuous leadership development of outstanding ethnically diverse students and placement of those students in internships at many of North America’s top corporations, firms and organizations.
All-In Milwaukee Internship
All-In Milwaukee scholars will receive a renewable scholarship over four years as well as wide-ranging support and advising from an All-In Milwaukee professional advisor for up to six years. All-In Milwaukee scholars are limited-income, students of color from Milwaukee. They have high financial need and strong academics, leadership and service. Students apply during their senior year of high school and are supported by All-In Milwaukee until they complete college.

Project SEARCH Internship
Project SEARCH, in partnership with Froedtert Health, hosts young adults with disabilities in nine-month rotational internship throughout multiple departments at Froedtert Hospital and Froedtert West Bend Hospital to provide them with a learning experience in an effort to extend them to permanent employees.
