Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital strongly believes a hospital’s surroundings can positively affect the mood, stress level and overall well-being of our patients and their families. In fact, clinical studies have found that viewing nature produces positive changes in a patient’s blood pressure, heart activity, brain activity and muscle tension. This is why Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital Foundation created the Healing Garden.
Surroundings That Heal
Beautifully manicured with bright-colored flowers, plants, and trees, the garden is an oasis on the grounds of Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital. Stroll the garden’s three levels and admire engraved stones, pavers, granite tiles and benches that honor patients, families, colleagues and community organizations. Admire the “Doves Taking to Flight” sculpture centered in the garden’s fountain.
Opened in 2006, the Healing Garden is maintained by Master Gardeners, hospital volunteers and team members from the hospital’s Facility Services. It is funded in part by Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital Foundation through donations and purchases of honorariums and memorials.
The garden is ever-changing, and new flowers and plants are added annually. Access the Healing Garden from the main hospital building by exiting through the Healing Garden Lounge on the first floor near the Observation Care Unit or via Parking Lot A next to the upper entrance to the Ambulatory Surgery Center.

The foundation offers a variety of mementos to honor and remember a loved one:
- 4” x 8” Paver – $250 Maximum 12 characters per line for two lines
- 12” x 18” Granite Tile – $1,000 Maximum 20 characters per line for three lines
- Garden Stones (sizes vary) – $1,500 Maximum 14 characters per line for three lines
- 12” x 20” Granite Pool Surround – $3,000 Maximum 17 characters per line for four lines
- Bench with Bronze Plaque – $5,000 Maximum 20 characters per line for three lines
