Dr. Annie Smith has been working with the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network since earning her clinical doctorate in audiology from The University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa in 2015. Prior to graduation, she completed a year-long clinical externship at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, as well as the Center for Disabilities and Development. Additionally, Dr. Smith completed a year-long traineeship with the Iowa Leadership Education and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Program, focusing on family-centered, interdisciplinary care for patients with developmental disabilities. While at the University of Iowa, Dr. Smith completed advanced tinnitus training with Dr. Richard Tyler. She also attended several tinnitus conferences to expand her knowledge. In 2021, she completed extensive training in treating misophonia patients through the Misophonia Association.
Dr. Smith’s training and clinical interests include diagnostic audiological testing, amplification, aural rehabilitation, tinnitus, hyperacusis and misophonia. She enjoys creating customized treatment plans for each patient utilizing cutting-edge technology and evidence-based practice. She believes every patient and family comes in to clinic with a different background and different needs and deserves to be treated as such to maximize success.
