My care philosophy involves caring for the whole person (mind, body and spirit) and recognizing that a person's family or other support system is part of our unit of care. A major part of my job is to understand each patient's goals, values and priorities so that the medical team can provide the best care for them, especially as illness evolves. Every day, I am humbled by patients’ stories, strength, and resiliency—often during the most difficult times of their lives.
