The doctor took time, talk to me about what was going on. Explain the procedure and told me that if I needed to do it over 2 visits We could. He Also waited a little while and allowed the numbing medicine to work better. He advised me that if I was in any pain to let him know. Did a very good job. Thank you
Fantastic Dr.
Dr. Axel Shum is the FIRST doctor in the since my cancer radiation treatment OVER 12 years ago that has given me good news where he was confident he could help solve one of the MANY side effects of radiation to the head and neck. He said he doesn't see the radiation scaring in my mouth and throat/neck being a problem with getting Inspire for sleep apnea (likely caused/further aggravated by radiation to head and neck). I actually cried in the parking lot, feeling hope after every other doctor has told me "I can't help you." Dr. Shum's "I think you're a great candidate." means more than he will ever know. (Even if I don't qualify for inspire, I am still so very grateful to Dr. Shum for meeting with me.)
I felt very comfortable with Dr. Schumm. He communicated exceptionally well.
Dr. Schum does fantastic work. Thank you! The MA who checked me in also did a fantastic job! Even though this is an ENT clinic, she took my blood pressure properly, even checking that my feet were both flat. I tried to recruit her to my clinic.
Excellent care
Dr Shum is an incredibly impressive physician. He is kind and empathetic. He has a commanding and reassuring knowledge of current research and literature. I'm not very loyal to any of the other providers I have through Froedtert, but I would definitely stick with Dr. Shum no matter what!
Everyone did an outstanding job.
Staff was very considerate in letting me know that Dr. Shum was running a little late. I love that Dr. Shum takes the time to discuss my diagnosis as well as explaining things so that I can understand. Dr. Shum works as part of the interdisciplinary team to ensure I am getting the best care possible. Dr. Shum is awesome!
Listen to my concerns and gave me great feedback
Dr. Shum is excellent- we discussed possible treatments- he is an excellent listener
