About

Dr. Schaper attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison Medical School and then completed her Residency and Chief Residency years at the University of Iowa prior to returning to her home town of Milwaukee. She practiced here with the Westgate Medical Group for 7 years prior to joining the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2006. She is board-certified in general internal medicine and has a special interest in medical education-to students and residents as well as her patients. She believes strongly in empowering her patients through knowledge to help them take charge of their medical problems. Dr. Schaper supports physician activism and has been a regular volunteer physician at the Greater Milwaukee Free Medical Clinic since her return to Milwaukee.

Dr Schaper and NP where very good on visit. Rarely have a problem with Dr Schaper or clinic. Except hard to get a visit, Dr always booked have learned to schedule appts 3, 6, 9 months out.
Very thorough in addressing my concerns
Dr Schaper is an outstanding physician who treated with dignity and respect and she addressed all my health concerns.

Dr. Schaper herself popped into the exam room to let me know that she was running behind and that there would be a delay until she could see me. I appreciated her doing so! I felt like she truly took her time with me and allowed me to express several concerns I had even though the appointment was a Medicare wellness exam. She showed genuine concern and empathy to me.
