Quality patient care requires careful listening to the patient’s own story of their problem, so as to understand the concerns and goals for care from the patient’s perspective.   For care to be effective, the patient must remain an active partner - within the entire health care team.  The best quality care requires going the extra mile to obtain the best possible understanding of the patient’s condition.  But one has to be honest and say “these things I don’t know” when the current limits of medical knowledge have been reached.  My practice of medicine is dedicated to pushing back those limits.

I feel that doctor Massey was very attentive of my issue and he was very knowledgeable and willing to help me. I have a rare condition that he was familiar with and is taking the necessary steps to help me.

Dr. Chelimsky is extremely knowledgeable in what he does and knows how to convey that in an easy to understand way to me. I have a medical background but sometimes that doesn't make a difference and he will breakdown what he is telling me so that I definitely understand what is going on, how the body works, how the medications work with the body, how his instructions work with the body, etc. He is one of the best doctors and most knowledgeable people that I know. I hope he stays with Froedtert for a long time to come.

The MD and PA were very professional and caring as well as respectful - The assistant who roomed me no so much. It seems she had and agenda and that was not seem to be meeting my needs etc.

This was my first visit with Dr. Massey and I appreciated that he listened to me, he had reviewed my records well prior to my visit and it was evident by our discussion. He was respectful and so knowledgeable I loved that he uses evidence based practice and discussed studies, etc. with me.

I drove 3 hours to this appointment and 3 hours back home. I missed work for the day to be here, but was thankful to get in. My manometry test from Bellin Hospital in Green Bay was not sent down to Froedtert, so Dr Massey couldn't really tell me much of what I already knew. Eye contact was minimum while he spoke to me. I thought he was falling asleep. I understand if he has some kind of condition, just not used to it.

Dr Massey is an excellent doctor and I get on with him after a rough beginning, he tends to use medical terms that most patients would not understand, I have a medical background so this is not a problem for me. His 'bedside' manner is not developed but he needs a strong person to stand up to him, I have taken on this challenge with every appointment

this provider is a specialist who I see primarily for digestive issues. I have a different doctor who I see for other general medical issues and treatment. many of these questions did not apply to the visit you're asking about.

I feel the provider tends to dismiss things patients say, because of their expertise (and they do have more experience I admit) but they are not me, in my body, feeling what I'm feeling. I'm the expert on that and my words are valid as well.

assistance going into weekend not sufficient, especially following ER visit night before. Left visit still in severe pain to try to connect with another physician on own. suggestions given already being done without success.

The reason I saw Dr. Massey was because he has treated me before; I was totally satisfied with his care and concern and also knew he was the best in the field. I mean best in the city; not just at Froedtert but in the entire Milwaukee area. You are fortunate he is on your staff. He again helped me with my health and referred me on to complete what is needed for me. He also said to call if I have any future questions.

The doctor was not friendly and he told me about a medical procedure that was rather distasteful, but probably necessary. He gave me no other alternatives and he had never spoken to my General Practitioner about my condition.

Provider was great. I am concerned that every time I come in I update my medication list both through health app as well as to the Medical Assistant. No one every updates my medication list in the system. Someone needs to do this as the medical team continues to think I am taking medications I am not.

#1. I got the impression that the staff thought he'd gone in to see me already! I went out into the hall to see if they knew I was still waiting! Then an additional 10-15 minutes elapsed before he got to me. By that time I was flustered and felt I should just keeping questions to a minimum as it was late - close to an hour after my 10:30 appointment time & they'd taken me in at 10:15 because I arrived early & I still had to go to lab for blood work. It was the first time I felt when I got home that I wasn't sure if the real purpose of visit to see how I was going after 6 months on my meds had really been fulfilled. Was confused if I'm really doing well or not - & now I wait til October to see him again. Overall, very unsatisfactory experience. (P.S. The nurse - practitioner did spend time with me and reassured me that I seemed to be fine.)
