I am originally from Iowa City but have also lived in Qingdao, China and Evanston, IL. I had the privilege of getting my medical degree and residency training at the University of Iowa. I enjoy spending time outside of work with my husband and daughter.

Dr Wang went over and above to complete my husband's cataract surgery before her maternity leave. She is awesome.

YES! I was told 2 years ago at a place that does lenses, that they would do lenses but what I needed was cataract surgery. Not wanting surgery, I got new lenses. So I came in to Dr. Wang thinking I needed the surgery. After my exam she told me that my eyes are healthy, that if I wanted the surgery it was not really necessary, and that it would be "elective". So thank God I did not need the surgery. I will be seeing her for exams lenses every year or so!
Dr. Wang is very caring, concerned with my problem. She prepares my eye so when she gives the injection it feels more like pressure than an actual shot.
Dr Wang is an excellent opthamologisr!
