About

Dr. Poetker, a board-certified otolaryngologist, specializes in all disorders of the paranasal sinuses including acute and chronic sinusitis. He has received specialty training to address tumors of the paranasal sinuses. Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks and revision (re-do) sinus surgeries.

Sinus disease is a long-term, chronic problem. Dr. Poetker specializes in the long-term management of sinus disease. He works with his patients in an organized, logical fashion to find the medical and surgical management that fits the individual.

Dr. Poetker’s research interests include studying the differences in mucus production in patients with sinus disease. In addition, he is involved with several studies to evaluate the safety of corticosteroids.

Dr.Poetker always treats me with compassion and kindness.
Excellent experience with Dr. Poetker and his staff who took extra time to help us thoroughly understand all available options. Arrived approximately 25 minutes early and much to our surprise where called immediately for our appointment.
Everyone was delightful throughout my visit. Dr. Poetker was excellent. He listened carefully and explained things in language I could understood. He showed concerns for my issue and did not attempt to get me in and out - we had an extensive conversation about the options for treatment and asked how I wanted to proceed rather than just saying "this is what we will do." Both my wife and I were very impressed with Dr. Poetker and felt very comfortable talking with him.
Dr. Poetker has been very kind and caring, taking the time to listen and provide very good advice and information.
