About

Dr. Poetker, a board-certified otolaryngologist, specializes in all disorders of the paranasal sinuses including acute and chronic sinusitis. He has received specialty training to address tumors of the paranasal sinuses. Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks and revision (re-do) sinus surgeries.

Sinus disease is a long-term, chronic problem. Dr. Poetker specializes in the long-term management of sinus disease. He works with his patients in an organized, logical fashion to find the medical and surgical management that fits the individual.

Dr. Poetker’s research interests include studying the differences in mucus production in patients with sinus disease. In addition, he is involved with several studies to evaluate the safety of corticosteroids.

I was impressed with Dr. Poethker he's very kind and professional. He's a great listener also let me have a say in how I feel about surgery and the risks of that.

Not at this time. Dr recommended a CT Scan for my sinus and I also completed that appointment which also went very well, staff, service, etc.

Visit was Very Good
The ending recommendation was a nasal spray Azelastine was something I've been taking along with Fluticasone. There may not be any other solutions to the Sinus-mucus drainage I have which I understand. Just surprised nothing new. I did really like Dr Poetker.

Very good treatment from the checkin all the way to the actual visit with doctor. Dr. Poetker did an extremely thorough job of explaining everything in detail. He actually did a little probing up my nose to show me some of the sinus condition. He explained the actual surgical procedure in details, noting the risks, and options. He easily answered by questions about his personal experience with surgical issues and how he dealt with each of them. He instilled a lot of confidence in his ability to do this procedure with my wellbeing in mind.
The nurse who took me to my room and spoke with me has such an upbeat personality. I smiled and felt at ease. The doctor listens and explains things completely. I have already recommended this office to a friend.
