As a Family and Integrative Medicine physician, I practice high quality, evidence-based and compassionate care for all people through all stages of their lives. I recognize and respect each patient’s individuality and actively listen to understand how people’s unique circumstances can affect their health and wellbeing. I will collaborate with your care team including specialists and I’m honest and transparent in my communication style. I use both conventional medicine and incorporate evidence-based natural therapies and healing modalities when appropriate with a strong emphasis on prevention, health promotion and lifestyle interventions. About
I created innovative group medical visits to address healthcare disparities, improve access, provide culturally competent and integrative care as a Family Medicine resident at Tufts at Cambridge Health Alliance and later as a Family Medicine physician at a private practice. I recognize the importance of care that is team-based and patient-centered and throughout my work have engaged in work that values community and partnerships. During public health school, I evaluated and enhanced community healthcare worker training as part of the US-based arm of Partners in Health. Inspired by this work and the power that accompaniment plays in augmenting health and wellness for individuals and communities, I partnered with Iora Health to open a novel primary care practice and lead health coach training. Most recently, I was an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin where I trained medical students and residents within a community healthcare center with a focus on preventative health and wellness.
I am currently completing my fellowship in Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona – Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine.
