Dr. Sinson specializes in the use of advanced microsurgical techniques for the treatment of complex cerebrovascular disorders and skull base lesions. These include: Carotid artery disease, cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), cavernous malformations, subarachnoid hemorrhage, cerebral revascularization, surgical treatment and prevention of stroke, and both benign and malignant lesions in the skull base. Dr. Sinson collaborates with physicians in otorhinolaryngology (ENT), neuroradiology, radiation oncology, and neurology to organize the optimal treatment plan for each patient. Dr. Sinson has performed extensive laboratory and clinical research in these disorders and in traumatic brain injury. This work has been published in research journals and textbooks. Dr. Sinson is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons, and is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgery, the Congress of Neurological Surgery, the American Medical Association, and the National Neurotrauma Society.
