We had difficulty finding the building. The staff assisted with directions and were waiting for us when we arrived.

Dr. Baisden is fantastic. I lived with back issues for 17 years and never fully understood my spine or MRI results until seeing her. She explains things in a way the patient can understand and makes sure they are aware of all their options. Most importantly, I never feel rushed. She spends time with me and makes me feel well cared for and listened to. She has a great sense of empathy.

It is truly frustrating when a doctor doesn't seem to comprehend the level of pain you are in 24/7. The words "when something hurts, you put some heat or ice on it and keep moving" demonstrated that lack of understanding. While I understand that my fusion appears to be stable, my pain is constantly at a 7 or higher. It's hard to function when you've been in that much pain for that long. I left there in tears because I felt as though there was no understanding of the level of pain I am in, and that there is this perception it is all in my head. I will do everything she suggested. The next time I am there, my core will be SO strong that it won't be able to be the excuse for my pain. I am struggling to find a pain psychologist, but will do so to the best of my ability. I just want my life back, and have little hope that more physical therapy and a shrink are going to accomplish that. With all of that said, I didn't pick Dr. Baisden for her bedside manner. I picked her because she is an outstanding surgeon. I still believe that to be true.

I was extraordinarily pleased with the time and attention and gravitas Dr. Baisden gave me. I'm truly appreciative and grateful.

She explained in detail what was going on with me. She then answered every question I had from the list I had made.

Her professional skills are matched by her personal rapport with her patient -- expectations exceeded. Her care and caring are both components of treating her patient. She asks questions to elicit answers to help determine what's going on, and she asks what she can do that is not already being done. She works to find best ways to manage health and well-being. I appreciate being part of the decision-making in my care.

Dr. Baisden totally took care of all my needs. She is a pt. advocate. She took care of all my needs and made sure That I left with everything I needed before taking the next step in my care. We need more go getters like her. She gave me hope that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
