Part of my role as a Nurse Practitioner is to serve as an educator to my patients. If I can create an environment that my patients feel comfortable to ask questions, I can be a resource for them. I strongly believe that one’s own healthcare is best when a patient feels educated regarding their care. When the necessary teaching and resources are provided, a patient can truly take control of their own healthcare. When an individual is in control of their own healthcare, outcomes are more positive. Patients are in charge of their health and as healthcare providers we provide the necessary tools for success.

I am so so thankful for the providers' kind bedside manner, everyone at least seemed to be in a positive mood and that really helps me stay at ease in a setting such at this. I know providing excellent "customer service" with a smile is very taxing on top of everything else they do so I like to make sure I emphasize my thankfulness for good bedside manners!
The provider was friendly, caring and respectful. She listened to my concerns and made sure I understood the best procedure for treating it.
I requested given information to be explained in specific detail and she had no problem nor hesitation to repeat the same thing over2x again.
