Dr. Kim served as a Clinical Instructor in the Division of Hepatobiliary Surgery and Organ Transplantation at the Kyung Hee University Medical Center in Seoul, South Korea. He has completed fellowship training in solid organ transplantation at the Medical College of Virginia (MCV).His experience in Korea and at MCV included advanced training in live-donor liver transplantation.
Dr. Kim’s international academic activities include presentations at the International Liver Transplantation Society in New York, the International Congress of the Transplantation Society in Sydney, Australia, the Conference of the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver in Seoul, South Korea, and the World Congress of the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association in Mumbai, India. His research focuses on liver regeneration, organ preservation, and liver cancer biology in the hopes of contributing to the successful outcomes of solid organ transplants for patients.
