Dr. José Franco is currently Professor of Medicine and Associate Dean for Educational Improvement at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW).  He received his medical degree from MCW where he also completed a Residency in Internal Medicine and a Fellowship in Gastroenterology. In addition, he completed a liver transplant fellowship at the University of Nebraska. He has been a faculty member since 1995.  Dr. Franco is board certified in Gastroenterology as well as Transplant Hepatology.  His clinical interests include liver disease, cirrhosis, and liver transplantation and he currently sees patients at Froedtert Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

This was a bit awkward under the circumstances because of the over the phone conference call. But I understand it was the only possibility. The meeting went fine.

I did have a few concerns about changes with my health and I felt there could have been more alternatives other than a blood test, which didn't indicate reasons for these changes.

I liked the fact that he introduced himself respectfully toward my sister n I! he included my sister in the conversation and even ask my sister if she had any concern or questions about my health! I thought that was very nice of him! not only that but that day was my first time meeting him!

Made an appointment with Dr Franco for a second opinion on fatty liver disease and cirrhosis of the liver. After discussion with Dr Franco's P A and then Dr Franco I have decided to make them my primary doctor for my liver disease.
