Dr. Joshua Field is an Associate Medical Director at the Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Field specializes in the treatment of sickle cell disease and other benign hematological disorders at Froedtert Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Dr. Field graduated from the University of Iowa Medical School. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency and Fellowships in Hematology and Transfusion Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis, where he was Chief Resident in Internal Medicine and Chief Fellow in Hematology/Oncology. Dr. Field is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Hematology.

Everyone treated me with a greeting and respect
Very impressed by the friendliness of staff. Didn't treat me different
Dr. Field was just very serious-looking and never spoke above a very soft voice. He was very brief and made me feel like he did not consider my issue to be any big deal. His instruction was succinct and to the point so that was adequate. The NP who initially interviewed me was FABULOUS!!! I was much more comfortable with her.
Dr. Field was excellent in explaining my situation and not rushing.

The doctor, nurse practitioner, nurse and reception staff were all wonderful.
I was concerned initially with Dr. Field. In all honesty I have a difficult time trusting my health to white men. I decided to give him a fair chance and he proved himself. He saw that I was uncomfortable with his conclusion but to his credit when I asked him if he was willing to speak with my former specialist. He was. He decided to wait until the blood work came back. He called me and discussed what the blood work showed. He earned my trust and that is the most important thing.
Dr. Field is very knowledgeable and has a great deal of patience and empathy. He had a full schedule but answered all my concerns. His nurse was kind and was able to get us in despite us getting lost and running late to the appointment. I'm quite appreciative of their time and professionalism.
