Patients presenting to a reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialist often face a difficult set of challenges. My aim is to help my patients overcome these challenges and attain their goals of building a family in a supportive, empathic environment. I like to spend the time with each patient to individualize the specific course of treatment that will work best for her.

Dr. Kate Dragisic Schoyer specializes in reproductive endocrinology, infertility and gynecology. Dr. Schoyer is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She is the Director of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Medical College of Wisconsin and is the Medical Director of the Reproductive Medicine Center.

She has expertise in a range of evaluations and treatments in many areas of reproductive medicine, including adolescent gynecology, IVF and ICSI, as well as donor egg and other assisted reproductive techniques. In addition, Dr. Schoyer has experience treating Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and in operative hysteroscopy and laparoscopy.

Dr. Schoyer attended Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts where she graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology. While at Amherst, she was a four-year varsity tennis player and co-captained the team her junior and senior years. During her tenure on the tennis team, both she and the team attained high national rankings among Division III schools. She received her medical degree with honors from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, having been elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Following this, Dr. Schoyer completed her Residency Training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University-McGaw Medical Center, where, in 2003, she was named The Augusta Webster Outstanding Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident in her class. Dr. Schoyer completed her postdoctoral training with a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at The Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility of the Weill Medical College of Cornell University. Following fellowship, she joined the faculty at Cornell, where she practiced for several years until joining the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. Schoyer has co-authored many articles in leading scientific journals, and is a member of both the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her research interests included Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, therapies for poor responders in IVF (especially the young poor responder), and endometriosis.

Dr. Schoyer also has been involved in developing the division’s Fertility Preservation Program and regularly sees patients newly diagnosed with cancer to discuss their fertility preservation options. She also is actively involved with teaching medical students and residents.

As a native of the Milwaukee area, Dr. Schoyer enjoys spending time with family and friends. She continues to play tennis and enjoys all that the city has to offer. She feels strongly about giving back to the community and is involved with service activities; currently, she is on the Board of Directors of both HEAR Wisconsin and Penfield Children’s Center.

Overall, my experience was wonderful. From the moment I walked in the door and was greeted warmly. loved my experience!

I was nervous to visit the REI clinic but every interaction I had with the staff before and during my visit was amazing. Every staff member was patient and understanding. They made me feel comfortable about seeking reproductive care. The medical student was respectful and very knowledgeable. The entire experience exceeded my expectations.

I have been waiting and hoping to get a survey on the RMC. Dr. Schoyer and her staff are the bomb. After a rocky start with this clinic,I expressed my concerns to the clinic manager and things have been smooth sailing since. Dr Schoyer is incredibly intelligent (way way smarter than I ever hope to be!) but she can explain things in a way that makes sense to the average person. You can tell she has a passion for what she does. I trust her opinion and skill immensely while caring for me in this sensitive time. Over the summer I became very ill and was hospitalized and Dr Schoyer and her team checked in every day, even sending me a MyChart message to see how I was feeling in the hospital. This visit with Dr Schoyer was actually supposed to be with her NP, but when Dr Schoyer saw my husband and I coming in, she moved us to her own schedule. I appreciated that so much! The clinic's NP is great, but we are now very comfortable with Dr Schoyer and really felt better having her see us and manage my total care. While Dr Schoyer has an intimidating presence at first ( I think it's just because she is so smart), she is truly warm and caring once you start working with her, but she also tells it like it is which is something I value as a patient. I recommend Dr Schoyer to everyone I know going through similar issues. Additionally, their receptionist Vicki is amazing.. she remembers us at every appointment and is so supportive of us. Big thank you to Dr. Schoyer, Vicki, nurses Andrea, Mandy and Mariko!!

there was both a resident and new attending in the room during my visit and they all worked together well as a team, patient with the resident as he assisted.

very appreciative of the wonderful care I received.

It would have been helpful to have known what the initial consultation all involved. I was under the impression that there would be tests run that day, but the consultation was only to discuss my history and what tests would need to be done. My expectations did not line up with what happened at the appointment, which lead to disappointment in the appointment.

Dr. Shoyer and the resident who accompanied her were very kind, spoke clearly and provided me the options I was seeking knowledge about. Everyone at clinic also were courteous, in addition to the staff who scheduled me.

Dr. Schoyer was very thoughtful in her approach to my medical needs and diagnosis. She included me in conversation related to her plans for my situation. She was very clear and concise.

dr shoyer encourages me to get a refresher on injections. however I briefly talked with a nurse after my appointment and I felt pushed out and she didn't have time for me. I understand she was busy, but could have been much more understanding of my anxiety. felt like she said I just had to get over it.

The office staff and provider all work great together as a team. Also I like how the foot holders are heated!

I had a great experience with this office!

the nurse I had was insensitive and rude.
March 30, 2019
I have not seen another provider in this area and have nothing to compare her to.
March 29, 2019
Provider was kind of rude, had attitude. Did not explain test results, just kept repeating "they look _____." That's not helpful and we are paying a lot of $$ to see this specialist and I didn't care for that. Should be..... more professional, courteous and answer our questions. She wans't very empathetic and had taken cell phone call (40 min) during our appt.

Dr. Schoyer is very knowledgeable but does not do a great job of making you feel comfortable or validating feelings. For example the information she gave me during my visit made sense and was medically accurate but was frustrating to hear. In the visits that I've had with her I often feel she is annoyed when I have any emotions about the medical things going on. I don't expect her to spend time focusing on my mental health as that's not what I'm there for but it would be helpful to have the feelings acknowledged instead of glossed over. I think bedside manner may be an area she could word on to build better rapport with patients. I do appreciate her honesty and attention to detail!

communication between nurses and doctors is not very good
Feb. 27, 2019
I appreciate her complete honesty and care and concern. She didn't just tell me what I wanted to hear, which has happened with another provider in the past. She was completely honest but not harsh, she just wanted me to understand completely.

we came to Froedtert Reproductive Med after a very negative experience with another fertility provider in town. we have been impressed with everyone we have interacted with. all of our questions were answered professionally and with great respect. each staff member that we worked with was friendly and sensitive to the challenges we were experiencing. we will be recommending Froedtert Reproductive Med to others who are experiencing fertility challenges.

Dr. Schoyer and her team have provided me with wonderful care for our IVF cycle. They take time to listen to my concerns and questions during appointments and explain the IVF process very well. Thank you!
Feb. 14, 2019
I was asked before my appointment if a resident could be in the room during my procedure which I agreed to, but she performed the procedure which I didn't give prior consent for her or while I was in the room.

It has been over 3 years since we last went to Dr. Schoyer but it felt like it was yesterday and she was very thorough and attentive to our situation and was very helpful in explaining our current course of action. She was extremely professional and helpful and left me feeling very positive.
