I don't think I could find a better doctor than Dt Narayan. I am thankful for him and his amazing service and care.
Sept. 14, 2019
I ranked high on the postpartum survey, scored over 3 points and the back side I scored high, reflecting depression and the Dr didn't once bring it up and didn't ask how I was feeling mentally since giving childbirth. I am seeing a different OBGYN to serve my postpartum needs so I can get back to my normal self and mental state. I also told him my concerns of my back from the 5 epidural injections from the lower up to middle of my back and he didn't even care to look at my back or press my concerns and said it's normal to have swelling around the injection sites for "a while" (I was seen 8 weeks postpartum) and then said my incision from c section was healing well so he just ignored my back pain concern. Otherwise he's a nice guy.

Listened well to my health concerns and history, friendly and competent, knew what would be helpful and was able to communicate medical advice well to me

Dr. Narayan is great. He provides detailed information about treatments/tests, explains his rationale for pursuing one course of action over another, and always is cheerful, smiling, and offering compliments (which as an adult I really shouldn't need to hear at this point in my life but is always welcome!).

I have so far experienced Dr Narayan to be a very thoughtful, thorough and knowledgeable physician. I also appreciate his more worldly and cultured view mixed with that of American standards for a more worldly approach to my health care. This brings in more perspectives and approach options, while still following US standards and regulation. I have felt with previous doctors to be just another patient to meet with as if checking off the box, not being heard, and moving on to the next, or that they were more interested in their studies/specialty as opposed to their clinical visits with their patients. It has also been my experience both personally and through my children and sister specifically (amongst other family and friends) to more frequently than not come in contact with less than par care in general. For example, spent 3 1/2 + years watching my sister visit countless drs at UW simply going through the motions and certainly not particularly aiding in her cure of cancer. This has so far not been the case with Dr Narayan in my experience. To find a Dr where you feel safe, listened to, and secure in that the dr will do what's best for you before their career advancement, before what would be easiest for them in any given situation, and before what would just make more money for the hospital is rare in today's world. I can't express my appreciation to him enough. Please do pass this on to him if not already copied.

Dr. Narayan always takes his time with me. I never feel rushed or that he is in a hurry. Although I sometimes have to wait a little while for my appointment time I am happy to do so knowing that he is providing care to other patients and that when my turn comes he will give me his time and attention and not rush me out of the room.

The only critical change I would suggest is please make sure the CNA's/techs are quiet in the hallway when talking about end of their shift. One person was so loud about "I'm done here in 5 min. and..." Just be respectful & quiet. Nobody wants to hear what you've done all day and how much time you have left.

When I called to make the appointment I asked whether it was time for a papsmear and replacement of IUD; I presumed the answer was yes because the appointment was made, but in the appointment I was told that wasn't the case.

The doctor was great with answering all my questions and making me feel comfortable. I would recommend him to everyone.

The staff I see consistently goes above and beyond, I would not see any other provider for my specialty needs besides this office. His office even recommended my primary care physician which also provides 110 percent services, could not ask for a better medical team.

3rd trip for same problem, however, after visit summary not provided after 1st visit, biopsy was done, on call dr.'s opinion unclear after 2nd visit. Nurse called me to come back in, but visit was scheduled 2 weeks away. I called my dr.'s dermatology & they read the suggested notes with more information that *Dr. Raj Narayan's office had omitted, OBGYN. I've been with him for over 20 yrs. at a different hospital. So I was disappointed. But not with him professionally.

Dr. Narayan is brilliant and extraordinarily knowledgeable about healthcare topics of any description, obviously including Gynecology. My medical history is complex and other issues are multiple. Dr. Narayan dignifies me, as his patient, by knowing this history and asking about current concerns, addressing each comprehensively and compassionately. My life is incredibly better because of advise and I feel grateful beyond words, that this professional genius has a handle on my health status, an an efficient flow chart approach to the steps required to optimize my overall health. As a gifted surgeon, I always feel safe. When an appointment is near, I feel hopeful that Dr. Narayan will help me directly, or recommend an excellent physician to address a specialized area of focus. I am honored to know this astonishing superhero of the medical world. I truly believe that he has saved my life and reduced my worry many times over the years - he is an outstanding professional, and a wonderful, kind human being.
