With this mutual foundation, we can then work together to formulate a treatment plan for the best patient outcomes. Effective communication is at the core of this endeavor, and it allows me to build trusting and lasting relationships with my patients. About
Dr. Sarah Carballo is a cataract and corneal surgeon. Originally from Franklin, Wisconsin, she completed her undergraduate education at Ripon College, where she graduated summa cum laude as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She went on to complete her medical education at Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Rush University in Chicago, Illinois, where she served as chief resident in her final year. Her fellowship in cornea and external disease was completed at the Cincinnati Eye Institute.
Dr. Carballo is excited to be back home in Wisconsin, treating patients and participating in both resident teaching and clinical research in the department. She enjoys cooking, traveling, concert-going, and spending time with family and friends.
