Sydney Timmer-Murillo, PhD, is an assistant professor of surgery (trauma & critical care) at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She is a licensed clinical health psychologist and provides mental health treatment to those who experience trauma and traumatic injury. Her translational and applied research examines factors that contribute to quality of life and recovery after trauma promoting health equity and early access to treatment, particularly for individuals who experience interpersonal violence and gun violence.
