He was able to figure out what was wrong with me when no one else could. he spoke to me in a intelligent and caring way. I see why he is so highly respected. He was everything I hoped he'd be.

not specifically. I was supposed to be seen at 930 by Dr. Chelimsky but he was stuck in a procedure and I also had a lab appointment at the cancer center at 1020 and had to see dr foy at 1130. so I had to leave my appointment at 1015 without seeing the dr. but Ellen at the front desk of Dr. Foy's department was very, very accommodating. she got it all figured out for me and called over to neuro and had them fit me back into his schedule since I live 2.5 hours away. in the end it all worked out. I work in the health field myself, so I was completely understanding about things not always going how they should. All in all Dr. Chelimsky has always been super great with going through every new symptom and helps me understand my diagnosis to a greater extent. My only issue was he didnt really remember anything about me or never looked at my labs before seeing me to compare and be ahead. He did all of that with me and had trouble finding them. Most providers touch up on their patients before they enter the room so they have a good understanding where they left off the last visit. He really is fantastic though. He knows what he is doing and I always leave super happy and confident in what I need to do to get better.

excellent provider

The 9/10 rating is not a reflection of Dr. Chelimsky or the staff, but of a common problem in neurology everywhere--I didn't quite have time to address all of my questions with Dr. Chelimsky, but I did address the more important ones and the visit was very helpful.

I understand the 0ne-year wait for the appointment but it was well worth the wait. Dr. Chelimsky is very knowledgeable, very personable and explains things very well. He spent a lot of time with me and my husband which was very helpful. I feel better about the progress of my condition. Thank you to every one at Froedtert.

Dr. Chelimsky always listens to my concerns and takes time to answer all of my questions. He is a great doctor/specialist and we are lucky to have someone with his skills in our area.

Dr. Chelimsky is exceptional and very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, his staff has not been as good as before. His office called me to cancel my appointment and reschedule, however I then received a rude "failed appointment" letter in the mail for the appointment they cancelled. When I called the woman who contacted me to cancel to inquire about this, I never got a call back. I called his office to inquire about this and they didn't have my new appointment in the computer that his staff made when he needed to cancel the previous appointment. When I arrived to my rescheduled appointment, had an I waited over an hour for my appointment.

out of touch with the reality of someone being chronically sick
April 26, 2019
He is the only doctor on my care team with good knowledge of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

Wait times were extreme. If a person hadn't cancelled their appointment because she had to get to another appointment, I would have been waiting for close to two hours or more before being seen.

Top of his field. Exceptional expertise, warmth, kindness.

He was very kind. I felt like he listened to me and helped me find a game plan.

He is easy to talk to, he understands the difficulties of the conditions & listens! He doesn't rush through or stairs at the computer the whole time. He works WITH YOU! He's not about pushing meds or hurrying up but helping the patient.

He spent a full hour w/me.

kept pushing one form of treatment and didn't elaborate on the other ways. I did not feel rushed and he covered all my questions!
