I believe that patients should play an active role in deciding which treatment is best for them. This requires educating the patient as much as possible regarding the nature of their disease and the risks and benefits of any proposed treatments.

Dr. Fenske's clinical and research efforts are focused on the care of patients with lymphoma (Hodgkin's disease and Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma), and related disorders such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). He is particularly interested in innovative treatments for aggressive Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, including stem cell transplant therapies, and strategies to minimize the toxicity of lymphoma treatment.

overall great. I think there are times the EPIC computer system crashes and it throws the whole Froedtert into a tizzy.

Every one was great, but the nurse practitioner was nice but a little too serious needs to smile more

The provider Dr. Fenske is excellent! my only problem was that I wasn't checked in correctly and then had to wait 2 hours to see my Doctor. And that was not the Doctor's fault, the office staff needs more training. That being said, all the Office Staff were very polite and apologetic about the situation.

doctor was late to the appointment over an hour ,totally unacceptable . I was upset and let him know I was upset. people are busy and health is important. I understand people run late. I was there over 2 hours including lab work for a 15 minute appointment. again totally unacceptable.

Dr. Fenske clearly is familiar with the research and recommended practices for my specific cancer. I went to him for a second opinion and decided to transfer to him for continuing treatment even though Milwaukee is far from my home.
Sept. 12, 2019
Dr. Fenske took the time to listen, assess and accurately explain and clarify his treatment plan. Always providing options and likelihood of reoccurrence and/or medical standards to validate recommendations. Having this level of information offered a level of assurance that treatment was going well and gave me great comfort. I truly value Dr. Fenske's medical opinion and would refer many family and friends to him- should they have a similar health concern (as I). Lastly, his LPN was also very informative, demonstrated empathy and listened to my concerns/needs.

Test results available for review in myChart prior to visit to Dr Fenske. When issues identified, office has called prior to visit with results.
May 22, 2019
takes time and listens to questions and concerns
May 11, 2019
my last visit was an improvement to prior visits when it came to getting the correct blood test done and getting the results to my doctor. Prior to this last visit three out of four times they didn't have the correct instructions for my blood draws and it always took a lot longer than it should have. But my last visit was successful and if it stays this way I will be much happier.

knowledge about disease entity, friendliness, compassion.
March 14, 2019
I was expecting to come in for a treatment plan, but the doctor had not reviewed my information before seeing me. He discovered the pathology wasn't complete enough to determine a treatment plan while he was reviewing it in front of us. He did go over the possible plans, but nothing could be decided until he knows exactly what grade my cancer is. He was friendly and went though all the possibilities but we were disappointed that we had no plan to go home with. We drove over two hours for the appointment and were expecting to go home with a plan.

Thanks to the expertise of Dr. Tim Fenske, my cancer is in remission and very probably cured. If my cancer returns, I would run, not walk, back to Dr. Fenske. He is a scholar and at the top of his ranks in the study and treatment of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.
