Evaluating Beer’s Criteria and Optimization of Pharmacists on the Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) unit

Why did you choose to pursue a residency?

I really value learning, and I knew a residency would help build off the knowledge I already had and help build my confidence in becoming a competent practitioner. It provides me a chance to make a smoother transition from student to pharmacist by giving me the opportunity to practice independently while still having the support and experience from my preceptors and colleagues.

What attracted you to the Froedtert & MCW pharmacy residency program?

Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital attracted me because, coming from a small town, I know the importance and appreciation people have for a community hospital. This residency gives me the chance to learn alongside other residents, but also interact directly with the attending physicians and the rest of the healthcare team. The preceptors and staff were also a huge reason I knew I wanted to be here.
