PrEP It Up! A Review of PrEP Prescribing Among Primary Care Providers

Why did you choose to pursue a residency?

I decided to pursue a residency because my ultimate professional goal is to be the lead in a pharmacist-run ambulatory care clinic. A second-year residency will allow me to expand upon my clinical expertise by interacting with patients and by challenging my ability to think critically.

What attracted you to the Froedtert & MCW pharmacy residency program?

The Froedtert & MCW program is at the forefront of ambulatory care in Wisconsin. By having a wide variety of primary care and specialty clinics housed in the hospital, there are abundant opportunities to learn by being a part of a patient care team. Furthermore, the Froedtert & MCW residency offers an elective academic rotation through Concordia University Wisconsin School of Pharmacy, where residents can obtain a teaching certificate. This interests me as I could see academia in my future pharmacy career.
