Why did you choose to pursue a residency?

I have always been attracted to infectious diseases due to the challenge of increasing antimicrobial resistance, as well as the ability for pharmacists to have a significant impact on patient outcomes in this field. Pursuing a second year of residency will help to solidify my knowledge base and provide me the confidence and experience I need to practice independently and advance my career to the next level.

What attracted you to the Froedtert & MCW pharmacy residency program?

Froedtert Hospital’s program offered a variety of rotations and opportunities where I would be able to learn from different patient populations and disease states. It also has a very robust stewardship program with a variety of rapid diagnostic tests available for use. Finally, Froedtert Hospital offers the experience of practicing in an academic medical center, while still having the ability to rotate through and experience its community hospital setting as well.
