The Commission on Cancer, a quality program of the American College of Surgeons, has named Froedtert West Bend Hospital a recipient of the 2017 year-end Commission on Cancer Outstanding Achievement Award.

The Cancer Center at Froedtert West Bend Hospital campus offers a calming, healing environment that serves the unique needs of cancer patients for privacy, specialty treatment, individualized, coordinated care, convenience and compassion.

The Cancer Center features advanced technology and important services for our cancer patients.

  • Infusion options: All rooms are private and offer comfortable recliners and natural lighting for patients while they are receiving treatment.
  • New patient coordinator: The new patient coordinator gathers records and coordinates initial appointments for patient convenience and efficiency.
  • Small Stones Wellness Center: Located in the lobby of the Cancer Center at Froedtert West Bend Hospital, Small Stones supports the healing process by helping cancer patients enhance their appearance, promoting relaxation and boosting self-esteem. Small Stones also offers wellness classes.

As part of the Froedtert & MCW Cancer Network, the Cancer Center at Froedtert West Bend Hospital campus offers the expertise of Medical College of Wisconsin cancer specialists to patients in West Bend and the surrounding communities. When needed, highly specialized treatments and additional clinical trials are available through a connection to the Clinical Cancer Center on the Froedtert Hospital campus.

As I said, this was for an unknown possible condition and tests to see if I had this. The doctor explained things, gave an opinion and ordered tests and called to report the findings. I was very satisfied with the whole procedure including getting in to see the doctor in a timely manner which isn't usually done.
Hoping for medical breakthroughs on cancer treatment and cures.
I particularly liked that she showed me all the pictures from my MRI and explained everything. She was very thorough and I appreciated her time.

Dr. Johnstone and her staff are more than fantastic. Everyone spends as much time as needed and I never feel rushed or inconsequential. As much as it sucks to have cancer, my entire team has been a blessing and a beacon of hope, dignity, caring, and compassion.
Just so you know to remember, Dr. Longo is the best! He is so knowledgeable, personable, thoughtful, concerned, and best of all, the treatment has been very successful so far. (radiation therapy for prostate cancer). By the way, radiation text were also terrific. And, we don't have to go through the city into the huge campus in Wauwatosa, because MCW doctors come to West Bend Hospital, which is A hospitable environment easier to get to in to manage
Dr. Mooney is a wonderful oncologist.
Dr. Mooney is exceptional in his skill. One of the best doctors I've dealt with. Very engaged - explains everything and never makes you feel rushed.
Dr. Foy explained everything to me so I could understand what was happening with my tests and I was very appreciative. He had been very supportive and helpful to me understanding my symptoms and conditions.

Dr. Johnstone is an excellent doctor, and I have been very thankful that she sees patients close to home at Kraemer. She genuinely cares about her patients and their well-being. The medical assistant and nurse were also great.

Nope! Everything was fantastic.
Dr. Mooney is the best. Out of all my care givers/physicians he is the best. He always has my well-being forefront. I trust him. He looks at the whole picture, not just my the cancer aspect. He is mindful how my leukemia affects other areas of my life and how other health issues interact with my leukemia. I often recommend to my family and friends.
Everyone of my providers are excellent and their positions. They really care about you and your journey.

Very pleased with the Froedtert team from NP to Surgeon and everyone in between. The preparation instructions were clear and precise. The day of the surgery was seamless and the team in the operating room (prior to me going under) were very clear and comforting. My follow up visits were on time and there were no issues as well. While I would not want anyone to be diagnosed with Prostate cancer, I would certainly strongly recommend THIS team of professionals should they find themselves in need.
