How CoolSculpting Works
CoolSculpting works by targeting and cooling fat cells without damaging the outer layer of skin in the desired location. The procedure requires no anesthesia or pain medication, and you can return to your daily activities immediately after treatment.
During your treatment a member of our aesthetic team will apply controlled cooling or Cryolipolysis® (“fat freezing”) to the fat cells in the targeted area. The cooling effectively kills those fat cells. Within a few weeks of your procedure, your body naturally processes and eliminates the dead fat cells, delivering permanent changes and loss of fat.
CoolSculpting can be effective to treat stubborn fat in various areas of the body, including:

Is CoolSculpting Right for You?
CoolSculpting candidates should be in overall good health and within 30 pounds of their ideal weight. While some patients do report weight loss following CoolSculpting treatments, the treatment is not meant to be used for weight loss.
CoolSculpting works best on areas of fat that can be pinched and pulled away from the body. If you have struggled with losing areas of fat around your waist, arms or thighs, CoolSculpting may be right for you. While men and women may choose different areas to target, CoolSculpting can be equally beneficial for anyone who is looking to lose an area of targeted fat.
Patients with chronic pain or health conditions are not ideal patients for CoolSculpting. Additionally, women who are pregnant, breast feeding or trying to become pregnant should not have CoolSculpting performed.
