As we age, the rate at which our skin turns over slows down. It is important to encourage that turnover with the help of chemical or physical exfoliation. Exfoliation reveals healthy plump skin cells, giving you healthy, glowing skin. In addition, exfoliation can help with fine lines, hyperpigmentation, skin texture and skin tone.

At FORME, we offer a variety of different chemical peels that we customize based on skin type, desired outcome and lifestyle. Superficial chemical peels should be done anywhere from four to eight weeks apart to maintain healthy skin and to see lasting results.

Chemical Peels vs. Microdermabrasion

Chemical peels use different acids to penetrate and chemically exfoliate the skin or cause cellular turnover, while microdermabrasion uses a machine to physically exfoliate dead skin cells. Our team of clinical estheticians will assess your skin to determine which treatment is better or if you would benefit from a combination of the two.

What to Expect After Chemical Peels and/or Microdermabrasion

With most of our superficial peels, there is no downtime. They are otherwise know as "lunch-time peels." With a medium depth peel, such as Apeele, your skin will peel for about five days. With all clinical peels, you need to avoid direct sun exposure for one to two weeks after the peel. Your clinical esthetician will review all of your post-exfoliation care.

Superficial Peels and Extractions

The MicroPeel

This three-step peel includes a physical exfoliation called dermaplaning, extractions and a chemical exfoliation to remove a micro-thin layer of skin to improve skin's tone and texture. The final step is a customized calming mask to soothe and nourish the skin.

We recommend the MicroPeel to treat anti-aging concerns, fine lines and dull skin. It also improves skin texture.

Microdermabrasion

Our clinical estheticians go a step above the rest in this microdermabrasion treatment. In addition to exceptional exfoliation with the DiamondTome™ Wand, we include extractions, a light chemical peel and a customized calming mask to complete the treatment.

Microdermabrasion effectively treats anti-aging concerns, fine lines and dull skin while improving skin texture.

Microneedling With SkinPen

Boost collagen production with SkinPen®, a microneedling device that improves pore size, texture and the appearance of fine lines.

During microneedling, small, micro-channels are created while stimulating the skin’s natural ability to heal itself and creating collagen. Microneedling is used to treat and improve conditions like acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, loose skin, skin texture, pore size, brown spots, stretch marks, and pigment issues. Recovery after this treatment depends on the skin type and the amount of passes. The skin will be pink or red in appearance for 24 to 48 hours, much like a sunburn.

SkinPen Advanced

A signature FORME treatment takes SkinPen to the next level while decreasing healing time and post-treatment dryness. We recommend the advanced treatment for scarring, fine lines, wrinkles and large pores.

The treatment starts with a physical exfoliation called dermaplaning. Then a numbing cream is applied before the SkinPen starts. The treatment is finished with a biocellulose mask and red light therapy. The restorative biocellulose mask helps to replenish the skin barrier while alleviating the discomfort associated with compromised, post procedure skin and the red light therapy to stimulate collagen, elastin and growth factor production to treat the visible signs of photodamage and stimulate the wound healing process to improve skin texture and tone.

Steam and Extract

This treatment for clogged pores and milia begins with deep cleansing and enzyme therapy under steam to exfoliate and soften the skin, followed by thorough extractions of blackheads and blemishes.

The treatment is finished with a light massage and moisturizer.

Steam Therapy Peel

A steam therapy peel provides the same effective results as the steam and extract, with a little extra exfoliating punch. During this treatment, your face will be cleansed of all impurities and treated with a light chemical peel.

It is an effective treatment for clogged pores, milia and dull skin.

Back Treatment

Essential maintenance for a smooth, clear back begins with a deep cleansing and enzyme therapy under steam. To finish, your back is covered with a pore-refining mask and personalized moisturizer.

Medium-Depth Peels

Apeele

The next-generation chemical resurfacing system designed to provide controlled exfoliation of damaged skin with significant visible results after just one treatment. Apeele™ provides a comprehensive range of customized treatment options based on the desired depth of resurfacing and the desired expectations.

It is especially effective in treating hyperpigmentation, enlarged pores and wrinkles, while improving skin texture and tone. It is also good for patients who want a visible peel.

TCA Peel

TCA peels use trichloroacetic acid (TCA) in a variety of strengths to remove dead skin cells and stimulate new skin cell growth to reveal the newer, smoother skin layers below the surface.

TCA peels can be used to treat skin discoloration, acne scarring and wrinkles.
