Sometimes, when you want to show someone how much you care, it’s difficult to find the right gift to express your feelings. Consider giving a commemorative gift. This gift doesn’t come in a box and it isn’t tied with a ribbon. It’s a gift from the heart.
Your gift is a thoughtful way to remember your family and friends. It also offers health and hope to others in the community. Gifts from the heart are appropriate for many occasions:
- In memory of a relative, friend or business associate
- To honor a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion
- To say Thank You

Areas of Greatest Need
There are many ways to make a difference with a Gift From The Heart. Following is a brief overview of the areas of greatest need where your Gift From The Heart can help preserve, enhance and advance world-class health care in our community.
The Altrusa Fund is available to assist Social Workers and other designated staff at Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital to provide services, supplies or medications for patients that do not have financial resources to purchase when needed on an emergency basis.
Cancer Care Center
The Cancer Care Center is dedicated to treating the whole person, not just the cancer. Through our affiliation with Froedtert Hospital and the Medical College, the Cancer Care Center is designed to offer the best of both worlds: the most advanced cancer care and treatment, provided in a caring, compassionate environment, all centered around the comprehensive needs of patients and their families.
Community Outreach Health Clinic
The Community Outreach Health Clinic provides life-saving care, disease management and medications for thousands of area residents who, due to job loss or illness, have found themselves without access to medical care. The Clinic provides immediate care for health conditions or problems, assesses patient needs, and provides referrals to appropriate professional or community resources. The Clinic also provides case management to help chronically ill patients live healthier lifestyles and successfully manage their illness.
Emergency physicians and nurses at CMH treat more than 18,000 adults and children each year. Our Emergency Services bring together a passion for quality care, advanced technology, and highly trained specialists from a variety of disciplines. Family-Centered Care, a program developed by our Emergency Department, acknowledges the important role of family and loved ones in the healing process by allowing family members to stay with patients during treatment and recovery.
In keeping with the CMH mission to enhance and improve quality of life in a personal and compassionate manner, we recognize the vital need for an environment that promotes healing for patients, families and care providers. The Garden provides a quiet refuge where people can experience the beauty of nature, alone or with their loved ones, and face the future with renewed strength, hope and courage. Your donation will be permanently recognized with a name or message on a brick, tile, bench or another part of the Healing Garden.
Heart and Vascular Center
The Heart and Vascular Center provides advanced, life-saving heart care through the collaboration of renowned cardiac professionals, the latest technology, and compassionate, one-on-one care. The result is a level of quality and innovation that attracts patients from across the nation. The Heart and Vascular Center provides leading edge, life-saving procedures such as minimally invasive beating heart surgery, thoracoscopic modified maze procedure, and reduced intervention times to maximize outcomes and survival rates of heart patients.
Mental Health Services
Mental Health Services helps people suffering from behavioral or addictive disorders using personalized care that address the psychological, emotional and physical aspects of mental illness. Our integrated team approach involves a psychiatrist, nurse, psychologist, social worker, mental health technician, occupational and recreational therapist - all working together to treat both mind and body. Because of continuing cutbacks in insurance and government funding for treating behavioral problems, community mental health and chemical dependency programs are struggling to avoid service cutbacks, even as the needs and costs continue to rise.
Rehabilitation Services help people who are functionally challenged by impairments related to developmental disabilities, stroke, spinal cord injuries or other causes. Our comprehensive program includes inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient and inpatient physical medicine, work rehabilitation, pain management, and sports medicine, all of which strive to help patients live within the community at their highest level of independence.
Women's Health Center
The Women's Health Center is designed to meet the needs of all women, at every stage of life. We are dedicated to high-quality, comprehensive healthcare that starts with a health assessment of each patient to pinpoint the right combination of services. Services range from annual physical exams, pregnancy planning and birthing care to programs for osteoporosis, cardiac risk reduction and complementary therapies. The Newborn Intensive Care Unit incorporates the latest research on healthy outcomes for premature babies.
