In 2017, the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network became the official health care provider of the Milwaukee Bucks. Beyond supporting elite athletes, the long-term partnership focuses on advancing the health and well-being of people in southeast Wisconsin. Both organizations are committed to initiatives in the community that support health and wellness, chronic disease management, education and workforce development. The goal is not only to provide health care services, but to reduce barriers to access to care, educational and job opportunities.

Froedtert & MCW Learning Center
The Froedtert & MCW Learning Center, a hands-on training lab inside Carmen High School of Science & Technology’s northwest campus, is part of a workforce development initiative targeting Carmen students and low-income adults in the neighborhood. The initiative prepares students for the workforce thanks to a partnership between Carmen Schools, the Froedtert & MCW health network and the Milwaukee Bucks. Students and adults receive career training, internships and apprenticeships in the health care fields of certified nursing assistant, medical assistant, health care customer service and in the IT computer systems support fields.
