Froedtert Health again named a top 10 workplace for equity, diversity and inclusion culture

Milwaukee — Froedtert Health earned a 2021 Diversity Impact Awards “Top 10 Diversity Action Award” from the Association of ERGs and Councils. We were recognized for our efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure that equity, diversity and inclusion continue to touch every aspect of our organization and to keep people connected. Froedtert Health was also named a top 10 workplace in 2020.

“We are proud to be honored for our Diversity Council’s rapid response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the pandemic’s economic impact and community unrest,” said Andres Gonzalez, Froedtert Health’s vice president and chief diversity officer. “We communicated to staff how to stay safe and healthy. We engaged with the community to understand the pandemic’s impact and the needs of the diverse populations we serve. We implemented an anti-racism pledge and began an education effort around our Eradicating Racism and Enhancing Health Equity Plan.”

The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network embraces our roles as an employer, community member and corporate citizen. We value and celebrate the wealth of diversity reflected in our patients, their families, our workforce and the communities we serve. We are committed to being an inclusive and culturally competent organization that provides exceptional care to everyone.

The Diversity Impact Awards™ were launched in 2020 as the next iteration of the ERG & Council Honors Award™. The ERG & Council Honors Award™ was the first and longest running, nationally recognized award to honor the outstanding contributions and achievements of ERGs, BRGs and Diversity Councils. It was established in 2008 by the Association of ERGs & Councils, a practice group of diversity and inclusion consulting and training firm PRISM International, Inc., a subsidiary of Talent Dimensions.
