West Bend, Wis. – Gov. Tony Evers recently attended the Project SEARCH completion ceremony at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin St. Joseph’s Hospital to personally congratulate the seven interns completing the program.

Project SEARCH is an employment training transition program for young adults with disabilities. It is a nine-month, business-led program that takes place entirely within a host business. Total workplace immersion facilitates a seamless combination of classroom instruction, career exploration and relevant job skills. Classroom curriculum includes learning about appropriate interpersonal skills with supervisors and co-workers, resume writing, job searching, how to apply for a job and how to understand what employers are looking for, company policies and attendance, honesty and appropriate dress codes.

The completion ceremony is an opportunity for interns to share their Project SEARCH experiences with family, friends, coworkers and supporters. Froedtert Health supports the engagement, preparation and full inclusion of individuals with disabilities in the workforce to realize the potential of every individual.
