West Bend, Wis — Kettle Country Kids 4H Club, which consists of about 20 members from the Farmington and Kewaskum area, recently donated 20 “boredom bags,” fleece blankets and stuffed animals to be given to St. Joseph’s Hospital pediatric patients. The bags contain coloring books, decks of cards, crafts, hot wheels, socks, crayons, pens and stuffed animals. Some of the items were donated, others were purchased by the club.
The club's youth leadership team decided to focus its time, efforts and funds on community service projects this year, with a different project each month. In addition to this month's activity for St. Joseph’s Hospital, other club projects have included nursing home bingo, Christmas cards for veterans, and a Valentine's bake sale for a food pantry.
Delivering the gifts on behalf of the club were (L-R) Peyton Voight, Max Stowers, Anna Benzing, Oliver Voight and Jayden Choy.
