From MobiHealthNews — Froedtert & MCW health network was an early adopter and investor in Xealth, a digital health prescribing platform to better connect patients with their care givers. In 2020, more than 15,000 patients signed up and engaged in digital therapeutics for conditions such as diabetes, behavioral health and pregnancy.

The annual flu vaccination is an important step in protecting one’s health, and in the current COVID environment this becomes even more true. This was also covered by Fox 6, and CBS 58 covered it a second time.

From Healthcare Innovation — At the OnRamp Healthcare Conference, Mike Anderes, P.T., M.B.A., chief innovation and digital health officer for Froedtert Health and president of Inception Health; Brad Crotty, M.D., chief digital engagement officer for the Froedtert &MCW health network and the chief medical officer for Inception Health; and Erica Smith, PharmD, director of the enterprise care coordination team, discussed the Inception Health team's progress in deploying digital tools for 29 different conditions. The Froedtert & MCW health network created Inception Health six years ago and built a multidisciplinary team to collaborate with innovative companies to develop and scale up digital solutions across the health network.

Schultz, MD, FACR, FASTRO, radiation oncologist and chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology, developed the NIMBLE app last year. Dr. Bovi talks about how NIMBLE helps patients with cancers that spread from one part of the body to the brain. Providers are able to speed up decision-making and provide more timely care for critically ill patients.

From BizTimes — Milwaukee native Annamarie Strehlow, 31, took the women’s overall Olympic-distance title at Milwaukee’s USA Triathlon in 2 hours, 7 minutes and 58 seconds. Strehlow, a Froedtert & MCW physical therapist, was recognized last year as one of BizTimes’ Notable Heroes.

Milwaukee — Froedtert Health is requiring staff and providers be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by Nov. 1, 2021. This includes Froedtert & MCW Holy Family staff and all vendors, students, volunteers and others employed by or for Froedtert Health. We join many other health systems around southeast Wisconsin and the U.S.

Villarreal is an official for the sport of boxing, serving as a technical specialist, making sure the judges are following the rules and regulations. In a separate interview with Today's TMJ4 Angel reflected on how his 36 years at Froedtert Hospital has helped prepare him for the Olympics. 

From CBS 58 — A new night market is coming to Milwaukee's downtown Deer District. The event, presented by Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network, will support minority-owned businesses, and supply the community with healthy, locally-produced food, and support and develop small food businesses. The Milwaukee Record and Spectrum News 1 also reported on the story.

From Becker’s Hospital Review — Froedtert & MCW health network was one of the nine health systems named to the 2021 Disability Equality Index's best places to work for disability inclusion. The index is jointly determined by the American Association of People with Disabilities and Disability:IN. The companies determined the winners from a list of 319 companies that completed the Disability Equality Index assessment.
