Magnet recognition is one of the highest levels of recognition a hospital or medical center can achieve for excellence in nursing services by the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®.
- Froedtert Hospital achieved its fourth Magnet recognition in 2021. Froedtert Hospital first received this award in 2006, with redesignation in 2011 and 2016.
- Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital achieved its first Magnet recognition in 2023.
- Froedtert West Bend Hospital achieved its first Magnet recognition in 2023.
Magnet recognition is a tremendous achievement for our hospitals, but it doesn’t change who we are. It simply recognizes the excellent work our nurses do each day and reflects the commitment of our entire staff to serve as a team, providing the highest quality care possible for the people of our community.
The Magnet Recognition Program recognizes health care organizations that demonstrate excellence in nursing practice and adherence to national standards for the organization and delivery of nursing services. As Magnet hospitals, Froedtert Hospital, Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital and Froedtert West Bend Hospital went through a rigorous evaluation that included extensive interviews and reviews of nursing services. Of the nearly 6,000 health care organizations in the U.S., just a small, and select, group achieve Magnet recognition.
The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is the largest and most prominent nursing credentialing organization in the United States. Magnet status is valid for four years.
