Inpatient Clinical Nutrition

Compromised nutrition in a hospital setting can lead to slow healing and recovery and may extend hospital stays. Our clinical dietitians and dietetic technicians monitor, assess and optimize your nutrition status based on your current medical condition and nutrition adequacy. They utilize specialized assessments such as measurement of resting energy expenditure (metabolic rate) and body composition. They confer with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate a plan for your nutrition with recommendations for tube and intravenous feedings and/or dietary supplements.

Clinical dietitians and dietetic technicians support you in the effort to make nutritionally sound food choices to speed the recovery process, prevent disease and maintain a healthy lifestyle. If you require home nutrition support, we facilitate the transition from hospital to home.
