We then recommend the best course of treatment to get our patients back to their normal activities. In most cases, we can treat spine-related pain without surgery, but in some cases, surgery is required.

Back, neck and spine problems are common, but making an accurate diagnosis and recommending the best treatment options requires advanced care. For example, disc herniation or spinal stenosis can cause severe pain. Other conditions can cause balance issues or problems with control of the arms or hands. We coordinate care for conditions including neck pain, low back pain, back and neck disc herniation, scoliosis, degenerative conditions, spinal stenosis, spinal fractures, radiculopathy, myelopathy, musculoskeletal tumors and much more.

We have state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities and advanced technology to help us make a precise diagnosis for each patient. We use magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), CT scans, spine electromyography (EMG), and myelography in the diagnosis of spine-related conditions.

Rehabilitation and therapy play an important role in treating back and neck conditions. In fact, back and neck pain often can be dramatically reduced through a careful program of therapy and rehabilitation. Even if surgery is necessary, therapy is important after back surgery or neck surgery to fully return to normal activities. Our physical therapists and occupational therapists are highly trained and work closely with our orthopaedic physicians to help patients return to their daily routines quickly and safely.
